Philip Merrill disappeared from his 41-foot sailboat during a windy solo sailing excursion on the Chesapeake Bay Saturday. His boat, named Merrilly, was later found with no apparent damage. Investigators believe Merrill -- whose publishing empire includes the Capital newspaper and Washingtonian magazine -- wasn't wearing a life vest.
