CBS News execs have decided there's no room for Dan Rather at "60 Minutes." His contract expires in November, but Howard Kurtz's sources say he might leave before that. "People familiar with Rather's situation say he has had no serious negotiations with any of the cable networks but has attracted interest from people developing projects for television," reports Kurtz. || Rather tells Gail Shister: "I don't quit. It's not in me. As long as there's any chance I can stay and do meaningful work, that's what I want to do."
