Speaking at a Newspaper Association of America-sponsored conference,
Dennis FitzSimons stood firm in his showdown with the Chandler family, which criticized the company's stock repurchase plan last week and called for Tribune's breakup. FitzSimons said the company has no intention of assuming any additional tax liability, which a split-up of the company would entail for Tribune. || Related
