"Sewell Chan has made himself a legendary Times reporter by reporting for The Times. And reporting, and reporting some more," writes Gabriel Sherman. (Most of Chan's colleagues have fewer than 200 bylines in a year.) Sherman says Chan's productivity has won him both admirers and detractors. "The displeased ones see his ambitiousness as being a little too naked."
