Texas Monthly won the top award in nine categories: criticism, cover, excellence in writing, excellence in design, civic journalism and others. Following close behind was Los Angeles magazine with 13 awards. Atlanta magazine won five, Chicago and Philadelphia magazines took four. Boston and Indianapolis Monthly each captured three.
