Gary Suisman says he's convinced the Berliner format -- 18 inches long by 12 inches wide -- is a winner. "We have shown it to probably 1,000 people in the community, and the readers almost universally like the size," he says. "This is a statement by Gannett that they believe in the future of newspapers, and why not? Here in Lafayette our newspaper reaches 74 percent of the market each week." || Related AP
