Jerry Ceppos kept quiet when a friend complained about coverage of the Mideast war. "I've decided that, despite my great excuses, it's time to talk face to face with critics like my friend," he writes. "We owe them specifics -- and they owe us specifics." He has six points he would have told his friend "had I been less sweaty and less irritated."
