Print reporters usually have to go to jail before anyone finds them newsworthy, says
Jon Carroll. But the Hewlett-Packard spying scandal has put them on the front page. H-P "should have applied the same energy to illicitly spying on celebrities," says Carroll. "Think of the fourth-quarter profits they'd reap if they sold covert recordings of baby Suri cooing into the mouthpiece."
