A Times-Union piece offered some alternatives to the new Army Strong slogan, including "Army: It's gayer than you think." Army veteran Sean Neeld said that was "very disrespectful" and told the paper: "To suggest, no matter how innocent, any sort of perceived negativity about the current crop of soldiers is tantamount to dishonoring those who have served and died protecting all of our freedoms."
