Evening Sun (Hanover, PA)
The ad used the logos of the Evening Sun -- a Hanover, PA-based MediaNews paper-- and the Gettysburg Adams Area Chamber of Commerce. It welcomed a group seeking a slots license. "It sure looked to me like the Evening Sun was endorsing slots, which the ad also seemed to suggest was a done deal," writes Evening Sun editor Marc Charisse. "I cringed when I saw the ad, but decided to let it go unless I received reader complaints." He got one from No Casino Gettysburg.
