That (apparently) was a joke. Asked at Princeton for advice for students interested in journalism, New Yorker editor
David Remnick said: "Learn history, read novels, travel or travel by the page." No matter what your interests, he added, "all of us need to support [investigative journalism] as a form of social responsibility."
