Martha MacCallum (left) reported last Thursday that there are "some reports of cheering in the streets on the behalf of the supporters of the insurgency in Iraq, that they're very pleased with the way things are going here and also with the resignation of Donald Rumsfeld."
Paul McLeary points out that her claim was made the day her boss,
John Moody,
told Fox Newsers to be on the lookout for statements from Iraqi insurgents "who must be thrilled at the prospect of a Dem-controlled Congress." McLeary says MacCallum's "some reports" line makes her claim suspect.
