Part of the answer is that newspapers are getting cheaper to buy, says
Nicole Garrison-Sprenger. "Despite their sometimes bad reputation, private equity firms might prove to be a good thing for the media business," she writes. "The money these firms have to invest could make the Star Tribune and other media entities under similar ownership better."
