On the day the Wall Street Journal got smaller, the union representing Journal staffers took out a $115,000
ad in the New York Times to say that "if the [Journal's] owner, Dow Jones & Co., has its way, the quality of the paper is also danger of shrinking." The union recently started contract talks with Dow Jones.
