Milton "Pat" Minarcin's federal lawsuit alleges that he was fired by the Tribune in September 2005 as "unlawful retaliation" for filing an age discrimination complaint against the company after he was demoted earlier that summer. Minarcin, now 61, oversaw a special projects team prior to his dismissal. In 2002 he was awarded nearly $300,000 after filing an age discrimination suit against a Tampa-St. Petersburg TV station.
