USC Daily Trojan
Two staffers at the Daily Trojan asked colleagues at the University of Southern California newspaper to vote for their work in a U.S. News & World Report contest for college journalists. In one message, students were encouraged to log on to the poll website from different computers so more votes could be tallied for Daily Trojan stories. "Even if the two articles win this competition, the Daily Trojan does not deserve a gold medal," writes journalism student
