The Times-Picayune, Shreveport Times and other Louisiana papers weren't allowed to photograph Monday's state girls high school basketball championships after they refused to sign a document limiting their right to resell their photos to the public. The Louisiana High School Athletic Association says only photos published on newsprint may be sold. "These are high school games, played in a public setting and open to the public," says Monroe News-Star executive editor
Kathy Spurlock. "We are the representatives of the public and have a right to cover the event and use our material as we see fit." | Related
