Seattle Times public affairs veep
Jill Mackie says Seattle Weekly's
piece "connecting our newsroom's groundbreaking investigative series and the JOA corporate arbitration is a cheap shot of the sort that in recent years in our industry has joined baseball, birds and cherry blossoms as signs of spring and contest season." The Weekly claims the Times is secretive, but "when the [JOA] case was in court, the parties did not seek to have a single document sealed," notes Mackie.
