Eric Pryne says there's been speculation about an all-digital future for the endangered Seattle Post-Intelligencer ever since Hearst and the Seattle Times Co. went to war nearly four years ago. "That speculation is intensifying as the conflict approaches the beginning of the end," he writes. Miles Groves, former chief economist for the Newspaper Association of America, says an online-only P-I is "a great idea." He notes: You're going to see newspapers going that route anyway."
