Dean Singleton visited the Pioneer Press on Thursday and told staffers that
Par Ridder (left) had offered eight current upper level Pioneer Press managers -- including editor
Thom Fladung -- jobs at the Star Tribune. Publisher Ridder, who jumped from the St. Paul paper to the Star Tribune last month, first showed interest in joining the Strib last August, according to Singleton.
Brian Lambert, an ex-PiPresser, notes: "Many in the PiPress building regard Ridder jumping ship as both graceless and disloyal."
