NYT, LAT share 2007 Payne Award for Ethics in Journalism

University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication
The papers win the University of Oregon j-school's annual award for their decision-making processes surrounding the June 2006 publication of their stories on the government's secret SWIFT program. Nine journalists who resigned from the Santa Barbara News-Press win the Payne Individual Award.
