Minnesota Monitor
New York Times media columnist and former Twin Cities resident
David Carr talks to
Paul Schmelzer about what's going on at the Minnesota dailies, and notes: "Any editor who's selling cutbacks as a renewed focus is going to be playing out of George Orwell’s playbook: more is less, less is more. You know what I mean? You have to engage in doublespeak, because you can't step up to the mike and say, 'You know what? This really sucks.'"
