The US Justice Department says the Hattiesburg American was improperly denied access to documents into an investigation of
the seizure of reporters' tapes of a 2004 speech by Supreme Court Justice
Antonin Scalia. "This is the epitome of bureaucratic inefficiency that a one-page letter took two years and three months to generate," says the paper's lawyer.
