Joe Scarborough asked about her and the "Evening News" during a radio interview. "He asked me directly what I thought. It is my wont to answer a question directly. It was not planned." He jokes: "It may not have been the wisest thing I've done this week." SHALES' REACTION: "Wise or not, the former CBS anchor's comments about the network's evening newscast have created a firestorm -- the kind that is probably good for the TV news business."
