Patrick T. Reardon's pleased that most news orgs and bloggers kept the ending of the final Harry Potter book a mystery. "I think that was the right thing to do and a good instinct to follow. The world was better for it," he writes. "Normally, journalists aren't so mushy. Normally, the argument that the public has a right to know anything and everything trumps all other considerations."
