Mary Stier, 50, who was named Register publisher in 2000, plans to start a national multimedia venture aimed at boomer women. "I'm proud to have helped women across the country focus their energies and passions to achieve incredible results," says Stier, who has been with Gannett for 25 years. She was at the Iowa City Press-Citizen and Rockford Register Star before going to Des Moines.
