Looking over the 30 days of papers,
Tim McNulty was surprised to see how many columns had nothing to do with politics, foreign policy, or the war in Iraq. "What was glaringly obvious was that women are underrepresented among columnists," he writes. "There are only two among the 12 regular writers and eight among the contributors in that 30-day time period."
