The White House offered
Juan Williams a presidential interview to mark the 50th anniversary of school desegregation in Little Rock, but NPR said no; the news veep "felt strongly" that "the White House shouldn't be selecting the person." Williams, who ended up doing the interview for Fox News, says: "It makes no sense to me. ... I was stunned by the decision to turn their backs on him and to turn their backs on me."
