More good news for magazine publishers: For readers, many of the pleasing characteristics of magazines -- their portability and glossiness, for instance -- can't be matched online. And magazines aren't losing younger readers in droves in the way that newspapers are. One study says the appetite for magazines is largely unchanged between older baby boomers and young millennials.
