Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism CompetitionThe Globe was the big winner in the 2007 Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Competition. The Chicago Tribune and Minneapolis Star Tribune each won four awards, while the Los Angeles Times earned the gold prize for Best Newspaper Travel Section with a circulation of at least 500,000. Among magazines, National Geographic Traveler and National Geographic Adventure each won five awards. Outside followed with four.
