New York Times | Content Bridges
The Times has long had slimmer profit margins than most other large newspaper companies, but NYT Co. finances -- especially the flagship paper's -- have held up better in a tough year for all papers.
Richard Perez-Pena says the Times newspaper and its website rely more than almost all other newspapers on national advertising, which has fared better than other types, and less on classified ads, which have fallen the most sharply. ||
