San Francisco Chronicle
Vanity Fair editor
Graydon Carter says
William Langewiesche "doesn't even take notes during the first weeks on a story. It seeps into him." The award-winning writer, who moved from DC-based Atlantic magazine to Vanity Fair last year, says: "I don't like Washington. And I'm very skeptical of Washington's view of the world. I think Washington is a very sick city. And it has become an imperial city that is hemmed in by its power. And carries with it an arrogance, a blindness about its own limitations in the world in which we live."
