Some findings from Kubas Consultants' survey of hundreds of newspaper executives and managers:
* More survey respondents project decreases rather than increases in 5 out of 8 ad revenue categories.
* Large increases are expected for online revenue in 2008.
* Execs have an especially negative outlook for real estate classified advertising.
* Large US newspapers are the most pessimistic regarding 2008 ad revenues. Canadian newspapers, though, are optimistic about their prospects for next year.
