Boston University prof Chris Daly says he regrets the way he phrased his comments about Washington Post reporter Perry Bacon Jr. (left). He tells Maria Aspan that he meant to focus on "standards of journalistic practice," like the guidance and editing of reporters at influential media organizations, but "it didn’t come out right." He adds: "Blogging is very much an off-the-cuff enterprise, it's not like the careful research that I do."
