A Houston Chronicle reader noticed the paper had staff bylines from both NFL playoff games but none from the recent primaries and caucuses. Reader rep Steve Jetton explains: "The reason we still have staffers covering the NFL playoffs is because there is perceived to be greater reader interest in professional football than there is in professional politics. As you are no doubt aware, football is the national past-time of Texas."
