Mark Zieman's move leaves open the editor position at the McClatchy paper. Both candidates inside and outside the Star will be considered, says the new publisher. Zieman, 47, joined the Kansas City paper in 1986 after working in the Houston bureau of The Wall Street Journal for two years.
