John Lavine told students Wednesday that he didn't fabricate the quote used in a Medill magazine letter to alums. The dean says the controversy has been kept alive by a small number of faculty who are using it as ammunition against his
Medill 2020 plan to restructure the curriculum to include new media and marketing techniques. "Some people say, 'You know, if we can just topple the dean then all of this will stop. I can't be against progress, so I can be against the dean.'" ||
