Frank Washington was stabbed in the back during a robbery in January. A benefit to help out the journalist, who doesn't have medical insurance, raised more than $40,000. "I was basically unconscious for two weeks," says Washington. "When I woke up and heard what people had been doing, I was in shock. I had no idea so many people cared about me and respected me. It's a godsend."
