Chris Harte, publisher of the Minneapolis paper, tells employees that "Star Tribune revenue in 2009 will be substantially lower than it was in 2008" and that "we will have to cut much deeper, and many of the reductions we make will be painful." He adds: "I do firmly believe that if we stay true to our highest principles through these challenging times, we will emerge strong and healthy."
