Jenny Grogan, who is played by Jennifer Aniston in "Marley & Me," did a "remarkable piece of journalism" while at the Muskegon paper in the 1980s, says metro editor John Stephenson. She went "undercover" as a high school student, attending classes for two weeks. The 24-year-old reporter (left) won a UPI award for her piece. Grogan recently "respectfully declined" to talk to the Chronicle about hubby John's success.
