Penn State Live Seventy-five percent of the 200-plus bloggers
surveyed by the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism at Penn State say they don't consider themselves rivals of professional journalists. Only 30% say they've ever included "original reporting" -- attending games and news conferences or interviewing athletes or coaches -- in their blogs. Seven in 10 sports bloggers surveyed say they'd take a job at a mainstream outlet if offered one.
