Floyd Norris says Knight Ridder's plight reflects the fact that Wall Street isn't always nice to those who do what the Street demands. "Investors showed their lack of gratitude by sending the stock to a three-year low last month ...The consensus Wall Street view of newspapers now is that they are a dying breed, destined to wither under relentless competition from the likes of Google."
