Washington Post
"Both GM and journalism are in the news because they're troubled, and I'd like to give you some perspective," says
Allan Sloan. He does that, then writes: "I hope that a year from now, I'll be writing about how GM and Ford confounded Wall Street and began to prosper. And with luck, the same will be true of my own battered industry -- mainstream print media."
Pay attention, Woodward and Miller: "I run what my sources tell me through my skepticism filter. I don't act as their stenographer. I get a kick out of reading financial filings, which are never unavailable for comment and don't get testy if you access them in the middle of the night."
