Waterloo Cedar-Falls Courier
Daniel Reddout, 17, had a copy of the obituary with him at the restaurant. His mother says her boyfriend submitted the obit to the Waterloo Cedar-Falls Courier after she told him her son was ill. "I had let my boyfriend know he was doing very, very badly at the hospital, and jokingly I said that he had passed away, and he took upon himself to put the obituary in," she says. "It was a mistake, and I apologize for that."
