Charles Pierce returned to Marquette University and told students: "I did not take the route that was suggested by all my professors here. I kind of stumbled around until I fell into a bunch of stuff. The only plan I had was that I didn't want the plan everyone told me I should have." He attributes much of his success to "blind luck... and recognizing the opportunity when it's there."
