Overall circulation of magazines was positive in the second half of 2005 compared with the similar period of 2004, reports
Katharine Q. Seelye. Celebrity weeklies did very well, while newsweeklies, women's magazines and teenage publications showed mixed results. US Weekly's publisher says celebrity titles are succeeding because of the "voracious appetite" for articles about "young people of ambition and accomplishment and style."
