The Economist
The Economist made an "investigative trip to a newsstand" and discovered this: "Half-a-dozen publications now use exclamation marks on their covers to describe the divorces, pregnancies, affairs, eating disorders and assorted depravities of the same small group of celebrities." That revelation comes just weeks after we
learned that magazine editors are also using big numbers on their covers to attract readers.
