Richard Sandomir says there've been rumblings of discontent within ESPN since the plan to carry the
Barry Bonds series was announced, but critics weren't able to confront a senior management until they gathered for a two-day seminar this week. Seminar speaker
Mike Wallace says "I think the majority thought it was a bad idea [to air the series]." He calls it an example of "checkbook journalism." ||
Phil Mushnick: It was "the closest thing to a palace revolt ever conducted against ESPN."
