Steve Johnson says the revamped New York Times website "offers readers a wider but cleaner look, beefed-up video and photography and multiple angles of approach to better discover and cope with the overwhelming abundance of information that comprises a good paper's Web effort." The Wall Street Journal's makeover, he says, "boils down its front page even further to a collection of headlines and story snippets that almost resembles a blog more than it does a 'traditional' Internet newspaper."
