Teachers, students and Facebook: BFF?
Are you Facebook friends with your teachers? Should you be? Is there a teacher at your school with lots of student friends on her Facebook page? Be sure to show both students' and teachers' point of views. Include pros and cons on why students and teachers would or wouldn't want to be online buddies.

The story below talks about befriending your boss on Facebook. As you read it, think about how it applies to student/teacher relationships.

Poynter's Al Tompkins writes in Al's Morning Meeting:

What is the Webiquette when your boss wants to be your Facebook friend?

How much do you want the boss to know about your life beyond the office?

What will the boss think of you when he/she sees the photo of you in the cocktail dress inhaling Jello shots?

These questions arise more than you might think. The Boston Globe tries to sort through them.
